Apom Telur

This is another Apom Telur stall managed by Indian located at Campbell St. Mall.

Inside of Apom Telur has a soft pandan taste and outer part is crispy.

Loh Bak Store

In Penang, there are many stalls selling Lor Bak and Heh Chee (Prawn Fritter). One good point about Mr Lau's Loh Bak, he have used fresh ingredients and frequent changes of oil to stay his food fresh to serve to his customers. You can get to see how fresh is the food which I have taken photo.

Address: 80, Jalan Penang, Pulau Pinang (Kheng Pin Cafe)
Opening Hours: 7am - 3pm (Closed on Mondays)

Street Foods @ New Lane Off Macalister Road

I never know that there are many street foods at night beside Sunway Georgetown Hotel.

During our 1st night of stay, we walk to see around what do they sell. Wow! There are a lot of foods which are so tempting to eat.

Apong Telur

Its light and tasty pancakes.

Glutinous Rice Ball

I've ordered ginger soup with glutinous rice ball. The ginger taste is strong.

Fruits Rojak

The 'heko' portion is well given to mix with a few fresh fruits.

Koay Kak

In Penang, they don't named as Carrot Cake (Cai Tou Kway). They name it Koay Kak.

Chewy with prawns and squids given.

Penang Road Famous Teo Chew Chendul

Its own original stall is located at Jalan Penang. I get to eat their yummy Chendul in one of their outlet located outside Komtar Shopping Centre.

Their chendul is made from grinded rice and vanilla sauce in their original flavour with no artificial coulouring. Drizzled with sweet-tasting coconut syrup, Chendul refreshes and cools you down on a hot day.

Original stall sell Chendul at RM1.40 and outlets sell at RM2.50.

In outlet, they serve hot and cold beverages as well. We have also ordered hot White Coffee and its taste is good too.

Address: 475, Jalan Penang (at side lane outside Joo Hooi Cafe)
Opening Hours: 10am - 7.30pm

FRIED OYSTER

A simple mobile stall with good cooking of Fried Oyster by this uncle and he don't rush to cook this dish to serve to his customers. We've ordered a plate of his Fried Oyster of RM6 and wow its really generous on the portion of the oysters given. Flour and eggs were mixed evenly with garlic.

He is polite to say 'Thank you & Goodbye' when we are leaving after having our dinner. This stall is beside Kedai Kopi Hwa Lam.

Kedai Kopi Hwa Lam

Bak Kee Soup

No longer you can eat Bak Kee Soup in Singapore. It is worth to give it a try if you did not eat Bak Kee before.

Hailam Chicken Rice / Roast Duck Rice

This stall sell good Char Siew & Roast Pork Rice & quite a lot of customers have ordered with them. The Char Siew is well marinated and the Roast Pork is well roasted. The price is quite reasonable.

Laksa @ Pasar Air Itam

This penang laksa were recommended by taxi driver when we are on our way to visit Kek Lok Si Temple.

This stall is located at opposite of Pasar Air Itam. I was lucky to eat it when they are started to open their stall around 11am or so.

This is my first time to eat Penang Laksa and I would like to comment its SEDAP! The onions and other ingredients portion were given alot and especially the 'heko' is fresh and good.

This stall have been reviewed with good comments by other food bloggers so it is worth to give it a try when you are travelling to Kek Lok Si Temple @ Air Itam, Penang.

Penang Food SEDAP!

We have bought this food guide 'The Popular Food Guide @ Malaysia (Penang + Ipoh)' back in year 2007. We want to visit Penang becoz of their Yummy Food but we have no time due to busy working schedule. This time in Nov 2009, we are able to travel with Jetstar to Penang to start our Food Search with this Food Guide.

The informations in this Food Guide is almost 90% accurate but the map which they have shown inside may not be accurate. Its better for you to grab a copy of Free Penang Traveller's Map when you have arrived at Penang International Airport.

Kallang Wanton Noodle

Many customers patronized this stall. Its also my favourite stall for wanton noodle in Old Airport Kallang Food Centre.

The noodle is well seasoning with chilli added. Don't forget to order a bowl of Dumpling Soup, it is worth to eat the dumplings.
Food Rating: 3/5

Kah Ping Ri Ye Xiang

This is my favourite Rojak stall located at Old Kallang Airport Food Centre.

Price charge reasonably and the portion were given just nice. Most importantly the 'heko' is good and tasty.
