Xmas 2006 with Ah Lao

We've decided to travel into Johor Bahru to have our xmas celebration there.

Our 1st stop is at Mori Restaurant (Japanese) at Permas Jaya for our xmas lunch. My Ah Lao have ordered a Sushi Platter and I have got myself a Tempura Bento Set.

The sushi quality can be compared with Singapore Japanese Casual Restaurant.

I've forgotton the name of the side dish. The pork katsu was nicely fried, topped with okonomiyaki sauce, mayo and a sunny side up egg.

Well, the price is in Ringgit and what has suprised me that it has a further discount of 30% of total bills.

Our next destination is Jusco Shopping Centre at Tebrau to do window-shopping and watch movie. We have travelled to Pasir Gudang Highway from Permas Jaya and took us about 30mins.

We bought movie tickets of 'Confession of Pain' starring by Tony Leung and Takeshi. Nowadays you cannot find Singapore cinemas selling movie tickets at S$5.50 anymore. It was my first time to watch movie in Malaysia and the whole duration of the movie that all actors and actresses are speaking in Cantonese language. That is what I preferred.

While we have 1 hour more, we went to window-shopping around Jusco. That day was actual Christmas Day and Garfield have surprised me himself by wearing christmas hat and christmas scarf which I like it very much. Although I wanted him very much but I did not buy him back. I told my Ah Lao that I saw Garfield but due to budget that I did not buy him back. So I quickly bring out my camera to took myself with Garfield in the shop and go off immediately...

It's time for dinner and Ah Lao brought me to Restoran Todak at Teluk Jawa. Thanks to god that he have given me a Christmas present on this day to see colourful rainbow...

You will get to see Singapore Sembawang Shipyard opposite of Restoran Todak.

We've ordered vegetables, claypot curry prawns, fried buns and fried chilli crabs. The vegetables and fried chilli crabs are so-so. I would recommend to friends that their claypot curry prawns is worth to try. The prawns are live catch and fresh after cooked, the curry is very yummy too.

Desaru Touring Trip 2006

Desaru Touring trip is on 8th Oct 2006. Restoran Ngee Soon is located at Johor Bahru. They serve handmade tim sum and noodle items. We have ordered the above few tim sum items and fried chicken cutlet noodle in soy sauce. The tim sum are very yummy and especially the noodle which is QQ and the portion of chicken cutlet is alot.

We have finally reached Desaru after a long journey of 100km ride from Johor Bahru City. I was so surprise that Desaru Beach is clean and well-managed compared to our East Coast Beach. I have seen quite alot of Caucasians visit Desaru. As time passby, we are hungry and we headed to the restaurant to have a light teatime. There is nothing special in the menu and the food standard so-so.

After a light teatime, we have started our next journey to Sungei Renggit. Along the way, I like this quiet and freely kampong.

A few of popular seafood restaurant are situated at Sungei Renggit (Si Huan Dao). A few of my friends did mentioned before that you can take ferry from Tanah Merah Boat Jetty to Sungei Renggit for a 2D1N stay to have sumptous seafood meals.
